Events

Day 1

The guests wake up and the Headmistress calls a meeting.

In the main lobby, before the meeting, most of the guests introduce themselves to each other.

After some time, the Headmistress appears and begins the meeting. She explains the rules of the game -- the guests are unable to leave, unless they commit murder and get away undetected. If someone commits a murder and is identified by the other guests, they will be executed.

Pamela Juana Delgado suggests that someone might try killing the Headmistress, a suggestion which Beatrice Santiago attempts to take -- to no effect, as her warhammer passes through the Headmistress as though she wasn't there.

Having demonstrated her invincibility, the Headmistress calls the meeting to a close. -- but not before gratuitously mentioning the Ideaverse.

Night 1

Ruby Ramirez secretly sabotages the gas stove in the kitchen.

Day 2

Pamela, attempting to make breakfast, turns on the sabotaged stove, igniting the gas fumes and blowing up the kitchen and herself.

Night 2

Theodore Sticks stabs Collin Fairchild to death. Meanwhile, Masahiro Inaba sneaks into TimeFriend Mister Awe's room and shoots him six times.

Day 3

Theodore is convicted and executed.

Night 3

Day 4

Masahiro is convicted and executed.

Night 4

Steybarque "Stay Back" Hepburn builds an explosive drone and flies it into Ruby's room, attempting to kill her. Ruby, having chosen to remain alert through the night, manages to escape unharmed, but the room is destroyed.

Day 5

Barry Benson vanishes from the timeline, retroactively replaced with Yoshiko Minami.

Night 5

Steybarque retrieves a broken pipe fragment from the ruins of Ruby's room, knocks on Mafuyu Aizawa's door, and when he answers, stabs him in the throat, instantly incapacitating him. She leaves him, and during the night, he bleeds to death -- but not before regaining consciousness long enough to write Steybarque's name in his own blood.

Shizuka Eto forges a note from George H.W. Bush to Tatsuya Suou arranging a meeting.

Day 6

Steybarque is convicted and executed. During her trial, Ruby confesses to the murder of Pamela.

Night 6

Ruby hides in the gym.

Coincidentally, Shizuka sets up a trap at the gym door, and leaves behind her fake note.

Day 7

Beatrice Santiago, George, and Tatsuya vanish from the timeline, retroactively replaced with Ken Hara, Lucas, and Reimu Hakurei.

Ruby easily spots Shizuka's trap, but is unable to disarm it before Cass unwittingly sets it off. Ruby manages to save Cass, but is severely injured in the process.

Despite Ruby's admission the previous day, only Stephen seems interested in holding a trial, and even he ends up voting against it due to lacking evidence.

Night 7

Ruby uses the school P.A. system to call all remaining guests to the front lobby, intending to open the door and let everyone out. Despite the door being designed to only allow one escape at a time, the players work together to hold it open, ultimately allowing everyone to escape except Lucas and Reimu. With only two players remaining, the Headmistress is forced to declare the game over.

Aftermath

Out of an arbitrary sense of tradition, the Headmistress offers to give Lucas and Reimu a chance to ask her one question each.

Lucas asks why she ran the game in the first place, and she reveals that, after being killed in a murdergame run by Timeline Master Awe, she seeks to steal his plan and harvest Ideaverse power from the memories of Murder U participants, for the purpose of one day destroying him.

Reimu asks where TM Awe can be found, intending to take him down herself. The Headmistress approves, but admits she does not know.

After asking the two survivors if they wish to see what comes next, the Headmistress resurrects the dead, taunts them for losing the game, explains that she resurrected them to harvest Ideaverse power from their memories, and sends them to the Murder-Free Hotel.
